The Slovenian soprano, Urška Arlič Gololičič, born on 19th July 1980 in Celje, Slovenia,studied with Irena Baar at the Ljubljana Music Accademy. In 2005 she graduated and was given Prešernova Prize. An important stimulus in her training was starting to work with Vlatka Oršanić, which was also her professor for post graduation which she finished in 2009. She attended several masterclasses by established singers, such as Christina Laki, Sona Ghazarian and Marjana Lipovšek, and at last Helena Łazarska who also influenced her development. She won several competitions, two national and three international: twice C. A. Seghizzi in Italy and in 2009 Ada Sari competition in Poland.

Initially, Urška Arlič Gololičič concentrated on the concert repertoire (Mahler’s 2nd, 8th and 4th Symphonies, Rossini’s Stabat Mater, Messiah, Carissimi’s Jephte, Schnittke’s Requiem, Mozart Requiem, Gorecki’s 3rd Symphony, Wolf’s Christnacht, Edgar’s Apostles…) , but before long she also began tackling some of the most important parts in the opera literature. Her international breakthrough as an opera singer came as Undine in Lortzing’s Undine and in La Traviata (Violetta). Among her roles are: Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor), Antonia (Hoffmann), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Pamina (Die Zauberflote), Gilda (Rigoletto), Mimi/Musetta (La Boheme), Adele (Fledermaus), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Marzelline (Fidelio), Eurydice (Orphee aux infers), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Minka (Gorenjski slavček), Micaela (Carmen), Agnes Sorel (The Maid fo Orleans)…

From season 2013/2014 she is a member of National theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana.
